Costco has the KitchenAid 6 Mixer (6 qt Bowl Lift, which is the better variant) for $320 down from $420. Normal list price for it is $500-600 so the normal Costco price is already great. Available in-warehouse and online.

Seems like a good deal, but there is $7.99 standard shipping for me.

If you mean the KitchenAid mixer in general, it's a kitchen staple (according to my fiancee haha) that saves a lot of time/energy from kneading dough and does it better than by-hand.

If you mean this vs. the tilt-head KA mixer, we actually did a lot of research on this so you're in luck! We grabbed the $170 clearance model from WM last weekend but returned it because a deal like this might come along. The KA mixer in is generally considered a buy-it-for-life item, but the lower tier model (the tilt-head) isn't quite as sturdy and has some limitations in terms of how much it can make. The Costco one is the better one (double motor power/less liable to break) and Costco will apparently honor a return (whenever) if it breaks, so you're also kinda buying a lifetime warranty too.

Anyway, my 2 cents. Hope some of that was helpful!

We have had one of these for years. Ours is a pro model so I don't know if it has a more powerful motor but this one comes with the bowl guard and the edge beater that I wish we had. Personally, I don't like the lift up vs the tilt but I've never had a tilt to compare quality and stability. We've had ours for probably 10 years now and had no issues whatsoever.

I grabbed it on clearance at Walmart for 200 also. I don't plan on returning it to spend 50%+ more for a little extra power.

Totally fair. We def thought about keeping it but love the Costco backing and also fiancee was worried the other one wasn't big enough. To each their own!

It's not just extra power. There's many more benefits to the costco one, not least of which is the costco return policy should something happen to your device

What are they? I don't believe in warranty or insurance. Either way 1 yr warranty is good enough for me.
