I can't speak for this particular product, but I had a Razer Kishi mobile controller with USB-C, and pass through charging capabilities.

The pass through didn't work because the phone I had at the time wouldn't allow it. If that's a selling point for you, it would be wise to do some extra research for your specific phone.

Also, the unforgiving USB-C connector on the Kishi destroyed the port on my phone.

I know the USB-C is alluring because it's lag free and solid, but I've tried multiple wireless mobile controllers that work perfectly. The 8BitDo Ultimate is a great one, Turtle Beach has a decent one that splits in two, an Xbox or PS controller with a phone clip works surprisingly well.

A controller with a phone clip can usually be used with a USB-C cable for that lag free connection without the rigidity of controllers like this.

Gamesir G8 Galileo and G8+ fix a lot of the issues with mobile controllers:
  1. The Galileo has a USB C that adjusts and relieves strain on the phone port
  2. The G8+ is Bluetooth…but still awesome. It even works well with Nintendo Switch 1/2
  3. The G8+ has physically swappable ABXY buttons.
