This still runs poorly on base PS5. The only time it ever stays at 60fps is inside buildings. Otherwise, it's constantly fluctuating. There were times where I was standing still, in an area that didn't look demanding at all and had nothing going on, and the framerate was dropping under the 48fps VRR threshold. I traded it in the same week I got it, to recoup some of my wasted money. Konami is trash. Kojima can get a game like Death Stranding 2 to run at 120fps on base PS5, and Konami can't even hit 60fps on a worse looking game.

I'm pretty sure it was $25 from BB, since that's what I paid in December looking at my purchase history. Maybe you had one of those $5 gift certificates to bring it down?

That said, excellent game for first time players and experience players looking for an excellent remastered release of MGS3. Definitely worth $30 to play.

I don't see anywhere that claims DS2 runs at 120fps on base PS5, but the rest of your point still stands.
