This looks like the 'mesh' part can flip over and store inside the base. Can anyone confirm? I'd assume that's how you get it to fit in the storage bag. Also curious if the mesh part makes this model less efficient at being smokeless than a solid double walled version?

I don't see that this is really a smokeless design. The double wall types have holes that capture some of the combustion products (air, water, wood alcohol, etc) and recirculate them back to the fire. This just has extra air below the burn area. I figure this would burn hotter and faster (EDIT: than a simple bucket type) for a more complete combustion, so less smoke, but it's not doing it in the same way. Not sure which is better/more efficient.
