- Fan-less switches can be managed by insuring there is space all around it - but it is to be watched to be sure so it doesn't overheat
- The 10G SFP+ interfaces can be short Cat6 copper or better running fiber can be challenging depending on how complicated the length of run is - they are a little pricey for SFP+ pairs but it gives you a 10Gb backbone..
Which doesn't do you much good unless you have a server or local archive which can benefit from the local speed - but most Internet services are pricey after 1Gb it might be a geek out thing today
Shame these aren't managed switches though.
Cat6a is rated at 10gbps for 100m but it seems most tranceivers top out at 80m and are said to get warm. I need to run 10gb to diff parts of the house - didn't think I'd be able to do it with fiber without breaking it.

I'm pretty sure SuperMIcro just rebrands Intel modules. Not sure who StarTech rebrands.
Lately, I have been buying UniFi modules, even though I dislike the company for its business practices (this is the second time they obsoleted some of our perfectly-working hardware by stopping software support for them, forcing us to upgrade).
We buy/use 10Gbps fiber, 10Gbps copper, and 2.5Gbps copper SFP+ modules.

If you're just going to run it as a 'dumb' switch, you shouldn't need anything... but if you have a Ubiquiti gateway or Unifi Controller set up, they can function a a managed switch i.e. vlan tagging
