"Faux fur" just means polyester fleece. Some of them do shed but most don't. This is a good size for a couch blanket for 1, most of these aren't as long.

Anyone have this? Does it wash ok? I can't imagine faux fur washing well repeatedly enough when used as a blanket.

Website says machine wash gentle, would probably need to hang it to dry though

What you should be asking if blankets or most anything needs so frequent washes that you worry about going bad. You rarely ever need to launder them with normal use unless you soul them or something. Anything other than that is simply cultural conditioning that dictates too much and unnecessary emphasis on laundry culture. Also laundry has a long carbon footprint from plastic to chemicals to resources to money wasted. So keep that in mind.

Note that these are one sided. Kohls has nicer one with both sides nice and plush so you don't have to worry about front and back. On around holidays, Kohls had extra long throws for $9. Also, throws are just a gimmick option they are throwing around. You might as well get normal size blanket for better coverage at home settings unless its necessary for you to have shorter blanket (throw) to put just on shoulders when you are out and about or something. Cheers !

I have a bunch of similar blankets, some even thinner than this one. I wash them normally (sometimes hot water, sometimes warm, sometimes just cold water), but I air dry them (I air dry most of my clothing). I think if you put it in a dryer, it'd get fried after a few washes & drys.

I am so tempted to buy this one because it looks thick and it's oversized 😬

Multiple wash/dry cycles on similar with no issues.

This one does look extra plush, though.

How does this compare to Eddie Bauer - Blanket, Super Soft Reversible Sherpa & Brushed Fleece Bedding being sold on Woot for $12.99? same size.

This blanket is extremely soft. Feels like mink. I received this as a gift, also wondering about washing and drying.
