There is an Amazon review with pictures showing its use with 3d printed parts.

50 watts is basically a glorified soldering iron. Even this company is promoting a new/ improved version with 200 watts power in it's ad for this "welder".

I mean, all it needs to do is melt plastic with the staple. You don't need 1000w of power for that. In fact, less is more in a case like this, melting it too fast or it starting a fire isn't what you want.

I have another brand of this item. It worked great for repairing a kayak. I was able to staple the crack in multiple spots working the two sides to be in plane with each other as I went. Something I couldn't have done with glue.

It is basically a plastic solderer and you can't use it to weld or fill plastic with plastic filler rods, it just melts the staples into a cracked piece and cannot fill holes cracks or voids

Had to fix a cracked plastic blower shroud in a mobile A/C unit last year with one of these. Total hack job but the repair held up so far. Would recommend using this with good ventilation or respirator. Toxic smell plastic melting. Heats up very quick, within seconds of pulling trigger.
