I feel like glassware like this is really cheap in a lot of places a dollar a cup. I can't quite make out how this is higher quality to command the $25 price tag though.

maybe it's just shipping from Amazon they have to charge that much for the package material to not break them.

I can't speak for this manufacturer specifically, but my higher end glasses ($10-15/ea) are made of a different glass material that is considerably more transparent and feels nicer in the hand. I use them for special occasions.

My daily use glasses are about $1/ea and work just fine.
