I have one of these, worked great for a little while, but now the blade just falls off after a couple seconds. I can't figure it out. Any clues?

typically either your blade tracking needs adjustment (how to in the manual) or you need new "tires" for the drive rollers.

To me the advantage is that the cutting surface is contained and stable. Cuts exactly what I want without worrying about touching something I don't want to cut. And gentle--a reciprocating saw isn't going to work very well if the material isn't well anchored. This cuts clean (much cleaner than a reciprocating saw) even with something not held down tightly. And, personally, I don't like circular saws so I don't have a proper comparison to them.
