I use these 55's for triples in a sim rig and they are FANTASTIC for the money. There is nothing else on the market that even comes close. Triple 55" mini-LED 1440p 144hz for $1000? Impossible to even get close to this price!

Apparently this whole line has an unresolved bug with HDR being too dim and audio is significantly out of sync with the video when using any sort of external sound (optical, eARC, etc). Hard pass.

The QM5K stands out as a budget mini LED TV that punches above its price for SDR gaming and TV, especially in the 55 inch and larger sizes. The 55 inch model is called the sweet spot, and the larger panels are praised for sim rig triples and strong value. It also supports 144Hz at 1440p on 55 inch and up, though it is not a 120Hz set. Caveats include dim HDR, weaker sound and image processing, and possible audio sync issues with external audio. A solid value pick if those limits are acceptable.

Common Questions (5)

Yes, the 55-inch and larger QM5K models can do 144Hz at 1440p. The TV is still not 120Hz at 4K, so it is better suited to 1440p high-refresh gaming than full 4K 120Hz use.

Yes, it is described as excellent for SDR gaming and TV, with no issues reported after 6 months of use. It is a strong value pick if you mainly watch SDR content or game without relying on HDR.
BlownCamaro MagentaPassenger975
The line is reported to have an HDR bug that makes HDR too dim, and external audio through optical or eARC can be significantly out of sync with the video. For setups that use a soundbar or receiver, that can be a real drawback.
Golgatha MagentaPassenger975
The larger sizes are described as the stronger bargains, while the 50-inch and 55-inch models are called only okay. One shopper still called the 55-inch at $329 the sweet spot, so it depends on whether you want the best price-to-size value or the most features.
armando416 Zonic102
The feet are about 12 inches apart, so a 6-inch ledge is not enough. You need a stand or surface with roughly a foot of width for the feet placement.

Wow seems slick! Considering this or the one at Costco. Rtings mentioned it's a BB exclusive and Costco one has more gaming features.. I do like Costco warranty though

Features aside since I really can't tell what they do, but the larger sizes seem to be really good deals. The 50" and 55" are meh.

Are the SD bots arriving to pump this deal? This is now standard pricing on these models. Anyone in the market would have known that from browsing pre-super bowl.

I really want to pull the trigger on these, but cannot find dimensions of the feet. Only have 6" on a ledge.

I bought the QM5k and I agree with Rtings.com that the color accuracy, sound, and image processing could all be better. If you watch low-resolution streams or DVDs, you'll want a better TV. Or if you care about sound quality and color accuracy, you'll want something different such as an LG B5 OLED. It's a great TV for the price, just keep in mind the limitations when you buy it.
