I almost bought this a week ago. I ultimately decided not to because I need my monitor to also serve well for home officing, and OLEDs still always display text with a halo/fuzz or whatever. Unfortunately. Otherwise seems like a good deal.

It's objectively true that it's a worse image for text than IPS or VA QHD and certainly anything 4k. What's not true is that everybody perceives it the same as being good enough or not.

Like many things it is subjective how much it bothers you. It probably just doesn't bother you, which is valid. I was worried it would bother me, so decided to not chance it. But it is a real thing. https://www.flatpanelshd.com/news...1682676702

It's a decent upgrade for anyone who has used a IPS screen, OLED's are so much nicer! You can see a side by side comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueIOQD19yBw

For the price, most people are better off looking for a mini-LED, unless you absolutely need this. OLEDs are not really famous for their brightness, and this one is pretty low. In a somewhat illuminated room, you will feel it. If you are playing in a dark room, picture quality is hard to beat.

Also, I've heard Samsung OLEDs are not famous for their quality control, and they have pretty bad customer service.

Link to quality mini-led at the same price?

Also, it's funny that you mention quality control for oled because it's probably the technology least susceptible to quality issues.

I have this one.
entry level one.
It can not wake up itself when PC wakes up.
monitor menu so old, looks like 2000s monitor User interface.
And,
One hdmi 1.4 only, one DP.
It has no web function, you have to plug in a usb drive to update firmware.

I believe Tim from Hardware Unboxed said the 4th gen W-OLEDs are better at displaying text because of the color layout. Might look into getting one of those. They are newer and a little more pricey though.
