I get the point you were trying to make, but you actually achieved the opposite by giving two examples of where Anker issued recalls and admitted fault. Do you think that some random alphabet soup brand would stand behind their products like that? They'd just fold up and reappear next month under a new brand name.
But sure, if you can follow up your flippant remark about buying cheaper cables with any sort of link or reference, then we would have something to compare their business history and reviews with.
Anker is not perfect, but if they're survived two disasters like that and are still around, they must be doing something right.

in my opinion these are the greatest charging cables there are. I love the feel, they don't get too dirty, durable, just perfect to me.
With that in mind, this is a 100w cable, they have a newer model with 240w for around $13 lately. 100w is generally fine for most people as long as you're not trying to charge a laptop.

Maybe there are laptops that require something more than 100 watts, but not my Dell laptop or micro. 60 watts for the laptop and 95 watts for the micro. 240 watts is overkill.

The yellow color is nice for travel. Dark colors don't stand out and easily get left behind.

There are many many cheaper power cables, even ones from Anker themselves. But these are the only ones I gladly pay this relative premium on. They are supple and they don't tangle. I grab one end, shake it, and it straightens out. Very nice cable!

My laptop only needs 90w. I assume a 240w cable is more useful for something like Thunderbolt 5.

How do you know they are made is a good way that it will not destroy your components or cause a fire? Like I can only use past data... what data do you use?

I can not trust Anker.

Anker has faced two different types of issues: one involving a specific cable that could "fry" devices due to a protocol error, and power banks with built-in cables that posed fire hazards.

1. The "Benson Leung" Incident

A Google engineer named Benson Leung, who was famous for testing USB-C cables to ensure they met safety standards, found a major flaw in an Anker PowerLine USB-C cable (A8185011).

The Issue: The cable "remembered" the voltage of the previous device it was plugged into.

The Damage: If you used it to charge a laptop (which requires high voltage) and then immediately plugged it into a phone or a smaller device without unplugging the cable from the power brick first, it would send that high voltage into the small device.

The Result: This could permanently damage the charging circuits of the smaller device.

2. PowerBanks (WHICH THEY ADVERTISED ON SLICKDEALS.NET... i remember those posts, you can trust Anker. Anker is not like other Chinese companies, they sell quality... BULLSHIT, they SOLD YOU A CHANCE TO DIE IN A FIRE IN YOUR SLEEP AND YOU CAN KILL EVERYONE IN YOUR FAMILY!!! THAT IS WHAT THEY SOLD YOU!!!)

Anker has issued massive recalls (affecting over 1 million units) for several Power Bank models. This is likely what you are hearing about now.

The Hazard: These models (like the A1647, A1652, and A1257) were found to have lithium-ion batteries that could overheat.

The Impact: There were dozens of reports of these units catching fire or exploding. In some cases, this caused "substantial property damage," which included destroying laptops or other electronics they were sitting near or plugged into.

I am sick and tired of people saying... oh, you can TRUST Anker they make a SOLID product and that is why it is OK to spend more money on their products then others. Well guess what... they DO NOT made a solid product.

SO LETS TALK PRICES... well, you can get cables that do 100watts for CHEAPER!!!

Once you go silicone you never go back. This is my current favorite, but it's FAT.... not great for travel.

This is so stupid. Paying more for yellow than a standard Anker grey or black is ridiculous.
Just ordered two. Thanks OP!

If you really want to overpay for extremely good cables, Linus Tech tips has just released one on their store that they have personally curated. That said, they sold out within like a couple of hours and they probably won't get back in stock for a few months, but when they eventually do
