I stayed here about a year and a half ago for my honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. The people, the food, the sights...all fantastic. I basically ate delicious Indian food for a week, but they had all kinds of different cuisines to offer. We stayed in an ocean villa and I was swimming with reef sharks, turtles, and rays (among other fish). We did a snorkeling tour and basically saw the cast of Finding Nemo. It was incredible.

The afternoons got pretty hot, but they have an indoor golf simulator along with a game area and karaoke rooms that you can go into and cool off. They also have bike rentals which I'd highly recommend to get around (especially if you're in a water villa). We never used a courtesy shuttle after that and enjoyed our little rides around the island.

Would highly recommend this place to anyone on the fence. It was easily the best vacation I've ever taken.

General comment for Maldives, if you're big into snorkeling, check the location of the house reef, it might be far from the water bungalows which are usually in places with few fish. We chose a beach villa (not this resort) instead cause it was cheaper and right next to the house reef, plus a great rock barrier with lots of fish.

For those who missed it, this does not include flights to and from the Maldives, just transfers once there. Flights are around $2,400 for two people.

Do they clean the algae off of the stairs pretty regularly?

Is this a legit site? Seems like pretty good deals given the full board and the transfer included.

I'm wondering the same. I always see these deals but never tried it. Has anyone successfully traveled with them before? They always have lots of deals.

From the East Coast it's 36 hours of travel there. 114 hours recovering from the flight.
38 hours back again.
That's not a vacation and so we are going to motel 6 in Pigeon Forge and going to the aquarium to see fish. (Biscuits and red eye gravy are up there with bimibap and yakisoba)

I know this is sarcasm, but that travel time is really what keeps me from going to places like this. It looks absolutely beautiful, but you can fly to anywhere in the Caribbean in less than 5 hours from the east coast. If I was going someplace that far, it would need to be for a lot more than 5 nights.

The problem with the Maldives is that they are far from other places people want to visit. Hard to even make them a part of a multi-leg trip. They are 15+ hours from Sydney.

Can you give the resort name you went to?

I don't agree with everything you said, but the Red Eye Gravy in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg is heaven!!

When you go the actual resort website, the savings are not nearly what's advertised. The base price isn't much higher, but does have about $1400 in fees and taxes.

Overall the savings for this deal are between 25-33%

I see people combining Maldives with UAE all the time, but yeah, it's a long flight in either case

took this trip through LE couple years ago. There were no issues. The resort is quite amazing, excellent food options, activities, and staff. Few things to note:
1. the resort is quite far from Male. We had to take a flight and then a boat. The company arranges everything but it takes time to get in and out. Resorts closer to Male, you can just take a boat.
  1. They dont have a sunset view option when you book through LE. You can arrange separately with the hotel after booking but not guaranteed
  2. Many of the good restaurants need reservation, please reserve in advance
  3. off the villa snorkeling is not that great, but you can take a snorkeling excursion where you see a lot of fish
  4. the sunrise villa side water is quite rough, so not ideal for snorkeling or swimming
We had the best time in our lives at the resort. Highly recommended
