Not having owned this make and model, I can't speak to the build quality of the laptop one way or the other.
But the CPU performance is rather decent -- one would have trouble telling the difference on single-threaded speed, and the Ryzen 7 is significantly faster in multi-threaded performance than my 3.0-year-old work-issued Dell Latitude 5530 (i7-1265U).
