I planned to turn in my trade at a store instead of mailing, assuming that would be faster and straightforward. Are you saying they don't process the trade at the store?
I've had better experiences the opposite way. I take mine straight to a CORPORATE store no matter what. They input it in the system once they've taken it out of your hand. So if it's not credited later it shows that you dropped it off in store, when you mail it in I've had it lost in the mail or sitting waiting to be inspected and them give me runaround to try and get it credited.

After Costco denied the upgrade, I decided to do it online and was only charged the sales tax. No activation fees yet. Am I missing something? Will they charge me later for it?

I just called the Costco Tmobile phone and I was told that I have to go to Tmobile retail stores or T-Life app to get this promotion
Seems like they are doing a lot of this bs runaround, unless you get a rep that just doesn't care and just places the order. Same at the Costco in-store. It's a luck of the draw thing.

I was not able to get Costco T-Mobile to place the order.

T-Mobile really seems to hate their existing customers, and their employees.

That's looks like only the taxes and it's indicating both the tax on the phone and on the activation fee.

No way to know if they might try to come back later for the activation fee.

You should be able to see the charges on the Order History in the app.

You must be able to retrieve the IMEI for trade in phone to be accepted. If battery died how do you retrieve it?

That was my thinking too, I imagine I'll leave with some kind of receipt that I dropped it off, even if they don't do the condition check and stuff there.

So I upgraded to the 9xl this way and still have 10 months left. I have an old phone that qualifies for the trade. Would I be able to take the Pixel 10 on my line and have my mom take over my 9xl (she's on our family plan) or does it need to stay tied to my number?

3 phones eligible for upgrade on account. Already submitted for one. Do they allow multiple ? Could I do another trade in for pixel 10 for same account but different family member number ?

Basically you get $800 from this deal. If you buy a Pixel, it comes out "free" after 24 months EIP. If you buy Pixel 10 Pro, then you'll be paying the difference (i.e., $200) over 24 months.
