here are some data points but take it with a little grain of salt because its based off on representative who spoke with their management but i have some doubt. first and without doubt, there are two promotions for trading a phone for upgrade with $800 credit. the first is r499 which is solely for the google pixel. the rep stated that it shows 1 per account. then theres a second promo r474 which is similar but includes trades for samsung, motorola, and google phones. additionally, there is a cap of 4 per account for this promotion. here is where i have some skepticism but figured id mention it here in case. the rep spoke to their management and stated that both r499 and r474 needs to be done through either website/app, retail store, or through the phone directly through them. no sure if this is bs or truly what it states but still works when done at costco but they said costco is unable to process these segmented offers in that the credits wont stick. i ended up going through him out of an abundance of precaution and he waived the upgrade/activation fee but still skeptical that costco is an ineligible channel for the segmented offer but time will tell. anyways, thats what i was told and i know everyone is being told different things so cheers to how unclear things are and good luck to all.

I'm a new customer on Tmob website, it shows me the phone cost is O dollars and $70 a month with my crappy moto trade. Went to Costco, they said it would be the same price as online but with additional rebate card from Costco. Am I missing something, I thought it would $200?
I currently have visible with cellular watch serve for $35 a month. Called the Costco number they said deal was dead and they can't offer it anymore have to go to store.

I went ahead and did this for one of the lines on my 4 line Essentials family plan. I used promo R499 and got $799 off a Pixel 10 (not pro). I first tried to go through Costco, but they said they were unable to access the R499 promotion, and said that it must be a virtual/T-life only promo. So I was near a T-mo store, so I stopped and talked to a rep there. He initially said that the promo would only work if the plan was upgraded to one of the newer ones. I told him I was not moving off my essentials plan and left. Went home, and the R499 promo sure looked like it was going to be allowed through my phone T-life ap, so I went ahead and did it. Traded in a rather old LG G7 that was working fine, but old. I think any working trade would have worked. It was not a phone I was currently using with any of my numbers, just a old phone I was saving for just such an occasion.
The purchase went through just fine. I opted for pick-up at the tmo store, went back to the same store, same representative, and told him it worked without any suggestion that I had to switch plans off of essentials. He said it should be fine then if it went through. He reviewed my old trade, accepted it at the store, receipt obtained for trade proof, and I was done.
So I did wind up paying $35 for activation, and no Costco Card, but did get a new Pixel 10 for one of my family members on my plan. Just 24 months of net zero credits. I'm good with that.
this was less than 2hrs ago, 2/13/26 (aprx 2pm PST)
just sharing for what it is worth.

Strangely that when I use the account that is restricted, I can see the promo with any device, open the one that is authorized, the promo does not show up. I've tried online and it does not work for me neither.

Went to Costco and the rep didn't even bother looking at my account and said my Simple Choice plan gives $350 off or something. Didn't look like he wanted to work. Went to Sam's Club, at first rep couldn't see when searching, showed it to him on my TLife app and said the promo code R499 and he found it, and was very surprised (said Simple Choice doesn't usually have On Us upgrades). Ordered two with trade-in's, paid tax, activation fee waived, and supposed to get 2x$75 Sam's gift cards. Don't see anything on my account saying the monthly credit for each phone for the order but do see the trade-in phones listed. Don't see a trade-in document either. Reddit some people said monthly credit does show up on account after trading in the phone.

Family member did web order and that one has an extra page for trade-in that shows the monthly credit making the phone free.

Guess once my Sam's order's ship, i should see a trade-in doc on the site, or get it in the shipment. Can trade in old phone at a T-mobile Corp store.

I have an older One Plus Business plan. I went on to the website and the promo for the Pixel 10 showed up for trading any phone in any condition. I have a cracked non working S7 Edge and was offered the $799 promo. When I went to check out, it says "SOLD OUT". I tried picking up at a store, having it shipped, both colors...no go.
I was able to get it to work for a 256GB 9a, but certainly not as good a deal as for the 10.

All the reps are useless. It is 4 per account but one per line.
