Did you actually read it? That line is listed under better value... Meaning 5+ years are required to be moved over to better value.... It is all listed in TOS under Better Value plan... Better Value: • New members – 3+ new lines with 2 eligible port-ins; • Existing members – 3+ lines, 5+ years tenure on T-Mobile postpaid plan
I read it in its entirety, did you?

Experience More with Appreciation Savings (Existing members only): 2+ years tenure on T-Mobile postpaid plan.
Better Value:
• New members – 3+ new lines with 2 eligible port-ins;
• Existing members – 3+ lines, 5+ years tenure on T-Mobile postpaid plan.

Notice the quotation areas
for legacy,
switch OR have a qualifying plan
And that dot placement means a lot when reading run through terms of service. A lot of us have legacy qualifying plans.( Note they weren't listed on the write up but eventually showed in our TLife app) even the op had it show in his Simple choice plan That's why threw the checkout process it never required us to switch plans. That's why it says OR, not that we would be switched to a new plan. Again, all I can say is if they did pull some "rink-a-dink" "or catch22 BS" and start switching our simple choice , ONE, and magenta customers you would see a mass Exodus of customers.

You are financing the phone at a cost of ($1000 - $45)/24 per month. You will also get a $800/24 promotional credit per month. So over the next two years, you bill will be a net $6.46/month extra. I think that's how it breaks down.
For a Pixel 10 Pro priced at $999.99, the financed device charge is about $41.67 per month over 24 months (999.99 ÷ 24). Subtracting the $33.33 credit means your net new device cost on the bill is roughly $8.34 per month before taxes/fees.
So, in practical terms, your monthly bill will increase by about $8–9 per month for the phone payment (plus any applicable device taxes financed and the one‑time $35 connection fee that usually shows on the first bill)

This is a great deal! I was able to get an old Galaxy Note 3 and a HTC PC36100 to trade in! Miraculously, the batteries are still kicking in them to power up. In case you have an oldie like the HTC it has a 14 character HEX MEID number that will not work with the T-Mobile IMEI number checker. If you Google "Convert MEID ############## to 15 digit IMEI" it should kick out a number that will pass the verification. I also had to use Incognito mode in Chrome as I kept getting a weird generic_error message at the top of the screen when I was trying to validate the IMEI numbers.

I got 3 of these using trade-ins of old phones. My plan was Magenta 55+ with an extra line that've had for 5 years. I just checked and it's still Magenta 55+ they have not changed anything.

One of the reasons I went ahead with this promo was because in the past when I my plan wasn't eligible for a specific promo, it just didn't show up anywhere in my account. It would suck big time if they force plan changes after the fact, but I think it's unlikely to happen.

I just successfully upgraded at the costco kiosk on my grandfathered simple choice plan. Pretty straightforward although the guys weren't 100% sure they were an allowed channel. They chatted with some managers and it was good to go.

Hello, when you received the T-mobile text message on your phone, where does it indicate the Promo information?

My text messages only say Thanks for your order and a ship by date. It has the IMEI of the trade-in, and the associated value. No where in the text message indicated the Promo..

So, I guess the main question is, how do we know the correct promo for $800 credit deal was applied?

When I checked in my T-Life app, I can see my new phone orders and the trade-ins but again, nothing can be seen about the $800 credit deal was activated...

Does anyone know?

Quote from InnerQi :
for those that successfully use the promotion. Does it show up on your device, payment plan, or active promotions in your t life app afterwards?

Edit: I ordered at the Costco kiosk at 10am and received the text confirming the promo is applied at 3:30 pm.

you do not need the email. Just call Tmobile and they will tell you if you Eligible or Not Eligible.

Simple.

Now, if they happen to say NO, you should ask them why?

Like maybe you paying off phone you got on promo last year for example.

we have not had a phone upgrade for 4 years. So figure they would get us to change.
