Costco canceled my order for 2 but I asked T-Mobile on X and they said they would credit my account the $35 each plus $100 for the shop card. So I ordered them for pickup at a T-Mobile store today. Went and got them both. T-Mobile credited me $300. $100 for the connections fees and because the taxes we are slightly higher than Costco charged. $200 for the shop cards. Traded in a broken screen Pixel 3a and a iPhone 3G 8gb.
Is their customer service know to be more accommodating through X, because chatting with them in the T-Life app and asking for statement credits for the activation fee is like pulling teeth!

I'm not sure. I have a grandfathered simple choice plan. But I have only ever messaged them on X they seem to be rock solid. I did a pixel 9XL trade Nov 2024 and they fudged it all up and then the phone went out of stock so they gave me 2 iPhone 16 pros 6.3 inch and didn't add the bill credits of $800 off them. They just paid the whole $999 each one off in my EIP lol plus they covered the $35 fees and still gave me the Pixel Buds A 2 of them that came with it.

Should just need to take the old ones in along with an ID. They will look up your account information, inspect the phones and give you a receipt.
Did they make you install and log into the T-Life app in order to process the trade-in phone at the store, or just ask for your ID and look up your account at the store to process the trade-in phone?

Just give them your phone number and your driver's license. To make the process idiot-proof, I wrote the phone number of the line that was being upgraded on a post-it and stuck it to the back of each phone.

The Imei needs to match the trade in phone. Then the phone you received, it will not matter which line you put it in. On tlife, select the line you want to assign the phone then sim activation and you go from there.
Thanks. The process turned out to be simpler than I thought. I placed the current and GP10 next to each other and NFC did all the work including Phy SIM to eSIM transfer activation. So it all worked out very well.

Thank you.

A few days ago in TLife app, I saw a banner say new line, new phone on us. Now it's gone. I'm not sure that they are going to give me a free line so I don't bother about it.
When I clicked on it, it only showed like 12 free phones. Nothing fancy, no flagship phone.
Is that how you guy get a free line promote?

Is a17 same quality as a71? Was using a71 T-Mobile as my main phone since 2021 until I became aware of unlocked prepaid phone deals from other carriers like tracfone and total wireless and switched to iPhone se3 and iPhone 13 couple years for fairly cheap
No idea bro,
I am NOT an Android user so have no idea !
I am buying these phones only because I can get rid of my broken phones from 15/20 years ago...lol
I recently traded-in 12 old/broken phones and got 4xPixel-10, 4xMoto Edge, 4xSamsung A17 !!

Question: Which option is better? calling and ordering from Costco TMobile or going to the TMobile kiosk at Costco?

You need to bring the trade in phone with an IMEI number to the Costco store so that you know if the trade in is eligible right there. Otherwise, it's about the same.

Thanks.
But isn't the promotion bring in any phone in any condition?
Also is the $35 fee waived on both Costco online and in-store?

Fee waived and $100 Costco gift card offered on both online and in store. I did three in store and one online. For the online one, I did it for a family member living away from home with a flip phone for trade-in. The phone has only a MEID but no IMEI. It showed up in my account as a different phone (Samsung S6). I called Costco T Mobile and T Mobile a few times, but no one could fix the problem. If I had the flip phone, I could have gone to a T Mobile store to see if everything is ok. I did not want to have any trouble, so I cancelled the online order, got a phone with IMEI and did another in Costco store order.
