I kinda regret not going for the 10 Pro XL with 256 GB over the 10 Pro with 128 GB for just $200 more. Why, oh why, does T-Mobile only have the 10 Pro in 128 GB? I suspect this was 100% a customer retention deal, and the 128 GB made for a good, economical retention deal on T-Mobile's side.Folks, think carefully about which version to get. Yes, I'm okay with 128 GB right now, but I fear it may become quite limiting over 1, 2, or 3+ years.
By then there will be another deal. Don't sweat it.

Also, when used as a trade in later, the 128 vs 256 or 512 wont give us any leverage AFAIK. With my 128 10 Pro I will do alright. I have photos locally on my backup S24 Ultra which has 512GB capacity. Plus other alternate local storage. I like the smaller size 10 Pro as I also have the larger Samsung. My pocket doesn"t seem so heavy now LOL.

I'm out of the Google system, and into the Proton system (built around privacy). All pics are automagically updated to Proton Drive within seconds of the shot. As you might imagine, I carry a light load appwise, since they all raid your privacy with tracking, etc. so I only use a handful of apps, open-source (Bitwarden, etc.) and privacy-based, so smaller, cheaper 128GB is a sweet spot. The money I save annually not upgrading to 256+ pays for the Proton sub.
edit: This new unit has the down button stuck issue, causing Fastboot to stick on any reboot, and the volume can be raised, but instantly lowers to mute. I'll need an exchange, what a hassle. Reminder though why I go light..if I lost or had the phone stolen, or it crashes like mine is doing, my data is just fine.

Any issue with this device upgrade promo on a line that was initially designated as free, but BYOD? This was the line that I got for free last March/April, timeframe. Any issue with getting free GP10 on that line using this promo here? Thanks

4 orders, 2 for paid line upgrades, 2 for free line upgrades. I have 4 more free lines to upgrade, but will have to leverage a different promo, limit on this was 4.

Thanks. Normal free line should be ok. But then there were free lines that were designated as BYOD. And nothing can be financed on that line. At least that is what I remember. That line does show free upgrade with the any device trade in, but I want to make sure nothing happens to the free line promo. It shouldn't, but just want to get additional data point.

Yep, just discovered this from another thread...investigating if there's a way to identify which free line promos have the upgrade restriction. Will update if I find out.

I have 4 free lines; 2 of which are BYOD. These 2 lines were from 2022 and 2023. So far, I have never added any phone promos to them as I am concerned that the free line promo may drop. Couldn't find a confirmation one way or the other

Oh darn... I totally overlooked the fact that one of the lines I upgraded has the "BOGO Service Promo with New Lines (ID230405)" promo. The first charge for the P10 promo and the exact amount credit posted along with the free line promo amount. Let's hope they stay the same next month without dropping the free line promo.

I am not a 100% sure but I believe that both lines of a BOGO pair are eligible for device promos. Issue is with BYOD free lines.

I thought about doing this on a free BYOD line since it was showing on my Tlife app as available to upgrade. But from my limited research, I could lose the credits for that free BYOD line making it a paid. I didn't want to risk it so I just used a different line.

I just dropped off my trade in devices at the store. I got a receipt that says "CONVERTED DEFFERED TRADE-IN TURN-IN" Is that what it is for everyone? When do you get a text / email saying the trade-in is accepted? Thanks
I did costco line, and dropped my trade-in device yesterday and it had this. Today I got a text saying promo ended or elgibility status changed. I contacted TForce and they said they will fix it and check back in 2days promotion tab since it was moved to Past promos.

Also, I asked Tforce when will this promotion end? They said today 2/25. Might have to order 1 more P10.

Used X Tforce and asked if my suspicious free line I upgraded was a BYOD Free Line, and they confirmed it was, the only BYOD line I acquired, all of my other free lines are upgradable. They were able to quickly move the upgrade to another compliant line, keeping the BYOD line free. Now I know exactly what line I can't touch. It was the https://slickdeals.net/f/18176173-ymmv-t-mobile-free-line-when-you-byod March 2025 BYOD line, the last free line I added. I asked if there was some place on the site that gave terms on the 5+ free line promos I have running concurrently, but was told they don't have access to any list on the site, but can see your account in its entirety to tell you which lines are BYOD/not upgrade compliant. I guess one has to chat or call to get the deets for themselves.

Thanks. I guess your IMEI of the trade-in didn't match what was submitted originally? I traded in mine yesterday...no emails and no texts. But the promo is still there. Thx

No it matched, but i think. It has to do with the trade offer or something. I heard its normal that it will unroll the promo and reenroll automatically back the promona few days later. But i still measage TForce support just in case and will check promotions tab again in 2 days
