I keep one in my daily driver truck and another in a motorcycle bag. With my truck I've been able to help 2 random people with jumps and I've jumped my bike battery a couple times.
I don't pay close attention to the charge level but I rarely need to charge the ones I have. I like how this one here also has a tire inflator. I keep one of those separately in my truck and it'd be nice to have a 2-in-1 product like this instead

They don't last more than a couple years in hotter climate. China started to ship LFP variants then pulled them when they turned out to be indestructible. I have one. Sad.
Anyway, better than nothing. Hopefully sodium variants come sooner than later.

A weak battery and corroded cables will put excessive load on the alternator, causing premature failure. Most rebuilt alternators are JUNKS. A remanufactured OEM alternator and labor can run north of $450.
A 12 V car battery has six cells. As the battery age, the output voltage from each cell will also degrade. To minimize excessive stress on the alternator and maintain reliable cold start, use a multimeter with min/max function (about $30 at Aliexpress) to record the minimum battery voltage during engine crank. Consider replacing the battery if the voltage is below 9.6 VDC. You can check this once a quarter when the battery is over 3 years old (normal use).
Made in Mexico or S Korea battery...about 3 years
Made in USA battery...about 4-5 years
Made in Japan Panasonic battery...about 7-8 years.
Cold temperature will also reduce the power output of the jump starter by 25-35%.
Yellow = battery voltage
Blue = voltage drop at ground cable
Note the battery voltage going down when there is a lot of current flowing across the ground cable. The minimum cranking battery voltage in the screen shot is 10.6 VDC.
