Good mount that I currently use and that replaced a previous one that could not handle my 34" curved monitor well. But it has the following caveats:
  • the mount point on the desk has to be really deep for the clamp to hold, else it will stick out and will not be sturdy
  • A curved monitor needs a VESA adapter to connect to the monitor. I used my old stands adapter
  • weight may still be an issue for the older monitor as it may sag over time.
The pneumatic arm build is great overall

Any input about this or additional suggestions about an arm for a phone or tablet, is appreciated. I'm not familiar with which are name brands or junk.

strange, but when i apply the promo code, amazon said it's applied, but the total price in the cart doesn't change.

I have this stand forward/arm and it is excellent quality and adjusts really easy up or down and I use mine for my 13 inch iPad and it works great. You have to figure out your own mounting for it because iPads don't have four holes on the back like monitors do but I believe there are tablet holders with vesa mounts so it will work. I just fabricated my own out of metal.
