Bought one of these 2 years ago. I primarily use the c cable but having an adapter to go to USBA all the time is great.
Cables are all still working and I'll note that the lid is magnetized and I haven't seen a situation where it becomes dislodged.
I've been able to use it for connecting a laptop to an external monitor with just the c cable and it works perfectly.

I can second the above comment. Mine sat on a desk, but I used it as my primary hub until just recently when I needed a higher refresh rate hub.

this seems pretty neat, are the cable cutouts specific to JSAUX cables or the connector type? for example, i've got no need for a lightning cable so i'd likely swap that out for another USB C cable instead. do you know if that'd be possible?
