Ill echo what others have said. I have (actually just replaced) this same oven. It worked great initially (but was indeed very much a pain to clean and over time, the inside became a literal hot mess). Eventually, both my function switch and timer switch failed to the point the oven was unusable. I am very mechanically inclined, but after looking into how to replace the switches and the cost to do so, I decided it made more sense to replace the oven (its very difficult to take apart and has a ton of sharp edges, etc).
On the positive side, we got about 5-6 years out of it and it worked well up until the end (despite the poor cleanability).

These Cuisinarts are great when they work properly. They have a few issues that seem to creep up, and you either get a workhorse or junk.
The fan may not work properly, so you don't get full air-frying capabilities. The timer may go bad. The dial that adjusts between settings will go bad.
But when it's working properly, these are fantastic.

Out of 464 reviews, 17% gave it a score of 1 star out of 5. 26% gave it a rating between 1 and 3 stars. Too risky for me (and we really need a new toaster oven).

These are great until the Function switch breaks. Mine lasted a few years with daily use.

You can get a replacement switch on ebay for around $10.

I've had this for 2-3 months and am pleased. It seems well made, looks good, and has nice features for the price.

Story time: I bought this recently during the $100 sale and used a 20% off Target student discount coupon. $80 was a great deal.

The the following week my mother in law came over and said you have the same toaster oven as mine. She bought a very clean one at an Garage Sale for $15.

😭😭😭

I replaced this oven with ninja flip after 3 years and finally dead. I would say cuisinart oven design is old school and outdated compare to ninja. Price wise is comparable within $100+ range. Issues from inaccurate temperature to broken switch selector. Not to mention it was difficult to keep it clean. You will have dark burnt tray overtime.

Bought and used for 4 years - it is now disposed.

Sooner or later the drip tray will be turn brown/black and will be worth more than the machine itself when needed to replace

I got this maybe 2 yrs ago for $100.

I read the grease will seem out and mess up the knob. I dont use it for heavy duty stuff and mine is OK.
