I have the same situation. My ex has this unit, the one with the knobs, and it's still going strong. I loved mine until the digital display went on the fritz. This seems like a great deal if you can find one.

Mine works great. I never try to force the knobs. If my food is done, I don't try to twist the knob to the off position, I just leave the door open until the timer finishes. If you are cooking something real messy with lots of oil dropping below, use tin foil to protect the catch pan. Otherwise it will get grimy. Most foods don't need this. Way easier to monitor and handle food than basket air fryer. Just get a camping pot holder that clamps onto the lip of the basket and tray. Amazon has them.

And I have this one with the knobs, and the function knob stopped working (known issue with this model) ... though it did last 5 years. I suppose it's always something 🙄

I had this exact model and the thermostat died after 2 years. Didn't bother repairing it considering the part cost $30 which is 1/3 of the unit
