Damn. I bought the small knipex for over $50. Haven't used it yet. I wouldn't buy something of cheap quality although the reviews sound promising. I obviously went knipex bc I want the tool to last. The metal on metal bite can deform cheaper made tools.
Would be a nice kit to have on hand with the variety pack. If you don't need to use them very often it may be a good buy for a DIYer.
I may just pick up the 10" since I already have the small one and rarely need a large size (got pipe wrenches and adjustables for large nuts)

I bought the 10" one a few weeks ago for $20 thinking it was a pretty good deal. Haven't used it yet so wondering if I can still return it and get this instead.

Any DIYers have any real uses for the 12"? Trying to decide between the 3 pack or just a 10"
Yes, you'll eventually need all 3 sizes at some point if you fix most things around your house or car so get the 3-pack and save yourself the annoyance of a year from now wishing you got the 3 pack because the smaller one doesn't quite have enough grip strength or length for whatever it is you need it for then.
Are these any better , quality wise, than the Amazon generic ones? I got the Amazon Basica set and I'm not sure if I like the grip. Just doesn't scream quality.
I'm a DIYer and I purchased these. I have to say that I'm very pleased with what I got for the price. I use these mainly as a replacement for adjustable wrenches... and find them to be a big improvement over an adjustable wrench.
I also have the 7 and 10 inch Workpro set. I like Workpros so much, that I'm going to keep those in my car and use these for the house.
The Workpro and Toolant appear to be almost identical, but here are the things I think make the Toolant set better than the Workpro in my opinion:
1) Toolant comes with a tool pouch to hold the wrenches
2) Toolant comes with protective covers for the jaws (1 set for each plier wrench)
3) Each Toolant wrench has measurements painted on the adjustment part
4) Lastly, I also get the 12" Toolant wrench for about $8 more than 7/10 Workpro set I bought.
I find the 7" plier wrench to be a little small, but it is totally usable. I believe I will be more likely to use 10" and 12" plier wrenches.
Yes, would be great to hear if anyone had experiences with this (vs. the toolant chrome version or other options)!
I have the 10inch of this tool and also have knipex comfort grips in 7 and 10 inch. Knipex looks nicer, and feels nicer due to the comfort grips. But function wise I haven't found a job that the knipex could do that the toolant couldn't. Which is different for knipex cobras where they gripped when the larger irwins failed.
I bought this set btw so nowI have more pliers wrenches than I need. But I can use the toolant when doing dirty stuff that I won't feel bad if they look ugly.

I got the chrome plated set from a couple weeks ago for $50. It's nice to have the chrome, but I take pretty good care of my tools. I kinda wish I had waited for this set to save a little money.
