Can anyone speak to the quality of the restoration efforts? These movies, even the bad ones, were always a treat for the spectacle. Some of the worse entries obviously didn't carry over much effort to squeeze into a DVD or even Blu Ray. Did they try harder this time? Does the 3D entry not look completely ridiculous?

I own them it's the best they ever looked and I owned the dvd,and blu-rays as well.

Exceptional restoration on all of them. The vibrant colors and surreal dream sequences really benefit from HDR, and the detail is incredible while maintaining the film grain. No DNR or smoothing in sight. The audio tracks are dynamic with deep deep bass and utilize surrounds well. They're the quality I'd expect from a good boutique label. New Line clearly treasured their film negatives and stored them well because these look exceptionally clean.
