It's an odd product but I am very tempted. I have an induction stove top and I ended up dropping something that hit the edge and created a chip. That chip grew into a crack across the entire left side and I had to pay ~$300 to get the part to fix it myself. In theory this could help prevent that in the future if I can make myself put it into place religiously.

This is a great idea if you have pets that like to climb up there and make a mess. I'm on the fence but I think I'm gonna get one.

this is great if you have an oven only for decoration for the kitchen , but even if you use it to make eggs in the morning this become a pain!!

Too much "solution" for this particular 'problem'. When I'm not using the stove for a while, I put these metal circular pans (specifically made to cover the coils on the stove top). They are lightweight, and easily put away when I don't need and prevent dust from accumulating. Got them from Amazon for real cheap, like $5 for set of 4

You could see any woodworker, this is a super easy build. You could get anyone with even minimal skills to build you a butcher block version of this instead of the finger jointed stuff they used here. Plus you could pick out your hardware that matches your kitchen. You could stain it any color you like, but stick with the food grade stuff if you are going to be eating off it. I'm not offering nor advertising my services, I am enjoying my last 3 weeks while doing to refurbing of equipment before the spring madness begins.
