It's an odd product but I am very tempted. I have an induction stove top and I ended up dropping something that hit the edge and created a chip. That chip grew into a crack across the entire left side and I had to pay ~$300 to get the part to fix it myself. In theory this could help prevent that in the future if I can make myself put it into place religiously.

Seems very niche. I feel like this would just eat up a ton of counterspace whenever you need to cook

We've had one on our glass top for the last three years and it's been completely fine. All of our controls are touch, and the stove has never been turned on accidentally.

We also have three cats and three dogs.

The comments are wild for something that's literally just meant to cover and protect a stovetop. People acting like it's Final Destination mixed with every Disney movie 😂

Survivorship bias is a thing.

We have all sorts of safety stuffs built into our societal infrastructure to help prevent these sorts of catastrophes. However _when_ these things contribute to a structure fire, no one can really say "oh, gee... that wasn't preventable."
