Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

You do not have to call. But sometimes you need to insert a non-Metro SIM card to "activate." When it handshakes with the Apple server, it will unlock. I don't ever recall the phone going from "locked" to "unlocked" without forcing it...
I've ordered iPhones from Metro, Total, ST and all auto unlocked or with a restart.

This is the way. Just did this with one that unlocked in January. Said sim restricted till I put in a t-mobile sim. Restarted and unlocked. The beauty of having a phone with a physical sim card.

Adding a line to my existing Metro acct is only $30 with gvoice port in and I can still get the phone free. Has anyone tried this?
Well, I ordered and ported a gvoice number. Hope there's no issues after I activate. lol

Maybe a US mobile number
Us mobile works as long as the phone number is on warp or dark star network. So you can technically open a new line ok warp or dark star and get the pin, cheapest option will cost you like $4.50 for a new number

I couldnt find any comments related to this
But does anyone know if this phone (while it is still locked to Metro) can be used as a trade-in device with t-mobile or any other providers? Has anyone done this before? Thank you!

Yes, I bought an iPhone 12 from Metro and then traded it in to BestBuy for the Pixel 9 maybe a month later. It was still locked to Metro

If you want to use the phone while you wait for it to unlock, isn't the 16e from Cricket a better deal? Newer phone and only 6mo to unlock instead of 12?
