Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

So metro phone should work with T-mobile even during the one year period before the phone would unlock fully? correct?
No. A metro SIM may work in a T-Mobile branded phone, but T-Mobile SIM likely won't work in a metro branded device.

By the time people receive their phones, that trade in value will expire. This thread is being hyped up for no reason. Good phone to just keep in drawer, but no potential for flipping for profit and things like that.
Phone delivery is in 2 business days you have 15 days to ship your phone back when you start a trade it…i hear you but its doable You profit would be $125 per phone less the cost of sourcing a number to be ported. With a ,max of 4 if you could get them all in that would be a profit of $500.00 on a apple gift card not taking into account your cost for securing a phone number to be ported x 4.

I tried lyca mobile but it keeps failing on the port out part. I'll try again tomorrow, because after the port out fails the number is locked for a certain number of hours before you can try porting out again.
I just tried with the new Lyca number and was able to see "Congratulations. Your number was reserved." page. However, after I clicked "Place your order" I was told my security was important. Will calling that Metro 888 number do any help?
Edit: I ended up calling Metro and the representative asked for a different credit card and the order went through finally. It's a 30 minutes call.

Ok thanks and good point. Which carriers the Metro phone can work with in 1 year period before it will fully carrier unlock?
The carrier lock feature on a Metro phone is, of course, designed to be used only with Metro.

Are you aware that the Apple Trade In value for the iPhone 12 is $110? Because of this deal, do you think the iPhone 13 will end up having a lower trade-in value than the iPhone 12?

I think Apple won't issue $180 trade in GCs for this phone once the 17e is released midweek. Also if $110-$55 if worth your time to go thru all the hassles with ordering thru Metropcs, then good for you

Last February, Metro also had an iPhone 13 promotion, and just like now, a lot of people participated. As I recall, the offer later dropped from around $250 to $225, but the trade-in value did not drop drastically like you said. I would appreciate it if, next time, you could base your response on actual data rather than speculation.

If I put in my number to port, and never follow up on the port in, will they port me automatically or assign me a new number after a few weeks? (I want the phone, I do not want to port.)
I am Not sure if they might charge you for not porting

I have information don't need useless historical stats. You won't get $180 GC once 17e gets released Thursday.

Oh, I thought your information was 16e, but it turned out to be 17e! Then I suppose your information also includes how much the iPhone 13 will drop in price, right? I'll keep an eye on Thursday to see whether the iPhone 13 will fall so much that it won't be worth reselling for any profit at all. lol

what is the significance of the zip code? is that for use when signing up with Metro, with a GV number?
It's the zipcode for Google.
