Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Oh, I thought your information was 16e, but it turned out to be 17e! Then I suppose your information also includes how much the iPhone 13 will drop in price, right? I'll keep an eye on Thursday to see whether the iPhone 13 will fall so much that it won't be worth reselling for any profit at all. lol
My comment was specifically addressed towards the $180 apple store gc. Reselling it in private markets is another matter. I hope you resell it for as much as possible.

It's the zipcode for Google.
use 00000 for your zip code on a GV port. Some wireless carriers use it along with your Pin and Password to authenticate the port. That is not the case with GV account number, Pin, generic zip 00000 is all you need

A brand new Google Voice (GV) works. You have to pay $3 to unlock it. Then, set your GV voice mail pin by going to the Accounts > Voicemail section and enabling "Call to listen". It will have you set your PIN. The account number is your GV phone number and the port out PIN is your Voicemail PIN. Use 00000 for the zip code. If that doesn't work, open an Incognito window and go to Metro's website and try again.

I checked the Helium Mobile "free" number I have and it came up $199, evidently because Helium Mobile is a T-Mobile MVNO
Yeah - as you said, Helium is an MVNO on top of T-Mobile, so it won't work.
Some time ago there was FreedomPop which used to run on top of AT&T (so it will work for this) and they had a $10/mo plan.

I haven't yet. Will give it a try and report back. Thanks
It is quite possible that it never actually activated (to start the clock at Metro). Try signing up for a new line with BYOD and activate that line on that phone - people have reported that this starts the unlock clock (so at least in 365 days you'll be OK).

They are still around https://www.freedompop.com. And there is also the USMobile free 30 day trial.

Nope, your pin is the last four of your gv phone number. I've been doing this for years. The port out pin has always been the last four of your phone number.

Yes, it is. I just ported 2 numbers from my gv to Metro this week. Also, ported another gv to T-Mobile using the last four as my pin#. . I've been doing it for the last 4yrs

Cricket deal requires 2 months at $60 upfront plus the $49.99
Right, but if you want to use the phone, you're going to have to pay for service. If you downgrade the Cricket plan, when you activate, 12mo of Metro is going to be more expensive than 6mo of Cricket. Then you end up with a better phone after those 6 months.

If you're just buying the Metro phone to use on WiFi or to trade in, then yeah, the 13 from Metro is cheaper, but not if you want to use that new phone.

On the Metro page it says free when bringing your number, but when I check my Tello or GV number it changes to $199 for the phone?
