Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Another data point: received the iphone 16e Monday, ported google voice, called today Metro port department 800-518-7519 and they manually processed the port in. Received the text confirmation. Went to google voice, number automatically deleted and received email from google that port out request received. Got another number, same voice account, unlocked the number, set the pin, then went to the 16e, turned off wifi, logged in to metro account, went to add a new phone, then $30 lined added, used the unlocked google voice number, account info and everything, went to payment page, used the same card I used for my initial order and then placed order and everything went through.

I just activated the phone with number ported from Lycamobile. When I tried to purchase another iPhone 13 or 16e with new number I couldn't find the free or $99 option. How did you guys do it?

When you input GV account # and PIN, what zip code did you enter next?

Since google voice and visible won't work anymore, what's the cheapest way to port in for metro nowadays?EDIT: after reading the comments on this thread, I see that many people are reporting that a google voice number can be ported over to metro again (like the good old days).
How do you do that?

My area zip code. Matches with my credit card billing zip code that I used when unlocking the voice number.

Google must not like me. It won't give me a GV number on several other old/new accounts; using a new number to verify.
Came here to say the same thing. I'm having the same issue. I verified and then it told me it's unavailable. So idek what is triggering it tbh. I'd love another option though.

you can port out prior to the end of your service month
Might be a silly question again. If I port it out before the first service month ends, I guess it violates the rule of being active for one month and then the iphone won't be unlocked in a year?

How are you guys buying a 3rd phone while still waiting for the 2nd one in the mail? My 2nd one shipped 2 days ago, but I can't activate it. The activation link in my email just takes me to my account home page with no option to activate.

It says you have 27 days (or so) to pay - see the 27 on the circle? So don't pay it, cancel before that date.
don't do autopay will automatic cancel it?

Go to metropc website, scroll to the bottom and click on "Activate" under "Support". Choose "Get started" under "New Metro phone"

I placed an order for the second phone after activating the first phone from the same account. When I tried to place order for the third phone, system is giving me an error saying that I cannot place or add another line. is this because the second one is not shipped yet and not activated or is it like there is a maximum limit of two phones per account?

My phone arrived today. After activating with eSIM, I was able to make phone calls but unable to receive calls as incoming calls always routed to voice mail box of GV. Yes, it is still GV voice mail box. It seems the porting was incomplete. Here's my question. I do not plan to keep the phone line and just want to wait for a year to have the phone unlock. While the porting was incomplete, will my phone still be unlocked after a year? TIA.

Has anyone been successful in placing an order for a Samsung A9 tablet by adding another line after receiving your first phone? When I try to do that, I'm getting an error saying that I should be on the metro network for at least 30 days. Has anyone been able to bypass this?
