Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Not always the case, some of us also tried to let phone/chat agents to book the orders for us and they sometimes encountered the same issue. So it is not always related to the device or IP.
After wasting one hour yesterday and TWO hours today on the phone, I can attest that agents most likely won't do better. I think they're not informed of whatever security measures implemented nor do they have the ability to override them. Unless you're a completely new customer to Metro, it's useless to call. If you can order more than 3, consider yourself lucky.

I got the deal.
Question: why is it showing a Balance of $25 to pay in my account?
I assume you did this in person at a store? If yes, that is probably the activation fee.

thank you for the confirmation, I personally tried online chat for orders twice and both failed, so I assumed the phone support is unlikely to do much better. Only the store has the ability to bypass the security issue.

I disconnected my line yesertday and I cant get in metro.com to see whether the line was truely disconnected? does this mean my line was disconnected? the phone showed SOS and I could not make any calls or receive. I shipped the phone to someone after a reset so I hope they can activate using their credentials.

I can't even complete a single order. The first order itself didn't work. Tried with both me and other members of the household. Just get an error at the last step "Please contact us to complete your order. Your security is important to us. Unfortunately can't complete your order online.".
Trying to transfer a google voice number which is unlocked. Tried from different computers and browsers.
Any idea on what could be causing this? Thanks.

Tried multiple times to add second one or create a new account for my wife's details and always getting the same error about security. Tried in store Today and was told that I would have to additionaly pay taxes on the value of the phone... Did other people who did it in store have to pay taxes on the device too?

We need a data set, folks who have been attempting to do this for the 2nd and 3rd phone, are you trying the GV number or Lyca? If we know all the failed attempts are from Lyca then we know it could be the company as this seems to be some foreign phone provider. when I did my 1st phone successfully I used GV number.
My 2nd and 3rd one were gv. my order went through with no problem. I stay off Wi-Fi when ordering.

For anyone who has ordered a 4th phone/line on the same account, does it make you select the higher $65 dollar plan to get the promo deal? For lines 2-3, it auto select the $50 plan as the discounted $30 plan. This time for the fourth line, it only shows the $65 plan for the discount
It doesn't matter what plan I select. The price will go back to MSRP for my 4th line .

Interested, only the higher $65 plan gets it back to promo prices on my end. So limit seems to be maxed at 3 phones for my account

+1 to being caught in the "fraud team" warning. Had some spare lines to transfer, but nothing seems to be going through. Even ordering with different email, address, VPN, incognito, etc. had no effect. Oh well.

GV number, ok for port in reservation. But got same error at the last step of "place order" ("Please contact us to complete your order. Your security is important to us. Unfortunately can't complete your order online."). The payment did go through as there is a charge and immediate refund record in my online banking app.
Tried different cards/zip and now stuck with a hidden error of trying to port the number more than 4 times.
The GV number seems stuck as well as the "lock/unlock" option disappeared in GV portal.

You can try using a phone data connection, maybe that will help. Work wifi are not helpful.

Again this is based on my experience, got frustrated myself a couple deals ago but then figured it out and works for me.
Before this I tried on phone data and got the same message. A commenter below says the exact opposite of you, their orders ONLY worked on wifi. I don't think anyone can pinpoint why or why not orders are going through or not.

Did you use chrome incognito mode or metro app?

That is why people usually advise against going to the store because of all the additional BS fees and/or charges.
