Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

For getting a number to port from Lyca at $5, do I just chose eSim option and checkout to get the number? Do I need to put the eSim info in any eSim capable phone?
Use one time visual credit card to pay. After pay lock or delete visual cc from your bank. Lyca won't let you delete cc payment. Lyca might charge after port-out

Choose esim checkout and pay. They will send confirmation email with QR code to set up number to your phone.

If I bought this to trade in on a pixel 10a, should I still activate the phone? And open the box? Or just trade it in sealed? I wouldn't mind opening it and messing with it, as I've never had an iphone, but if I'm going to turn around and wipe it to trade, maybe I should leave it sealed?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, my 10a purchase is the first time I've ever had a phone with enough value it was worth trading in, lol. I ordered one where I traded my old 6a (but won't trade that until the 10a arrives), and I'm thinking of getting a second due to the great trade-in value on this iphone.

If I just want to buy it as a WIFI device, can I risk using my main phone number to buy it? I will never activate the phone, so the number won't be really transferred, right?

  1. When trading-in (not selling), you won't get any more value with a sealed phone vs an opened one. Further more, some places are suspicious of sealed phone because they think the phone was stolen from inventory.
  2. If you want to order a 2nd/3rd phone, you will need to activate and open the box, so the phone can receive a security code sent by Metro to log into the account (and order the next phone).

I bought one last week. I want to buy another one or the 16e, but I see the monthly charge changes to $30/month. Will the additional line be treated the same? Meaning, I can just never turn on the AutoPay and never pay the second month and get the phone unlocked in 12 months, the same as the first phone? And how many phones can one buy and do this? Thanks.

Excellent points, thank you! Should I go ahead and turn on the phone, set it up, make sure it works fine, then wipe it?

If you wipe the i13 (including its eSIM) before ordering more phones, then the i13 can't receive the security code to log into your account.

I will try to transfer the number/account to an esim on an old, unlocked metro phone I have in order to still get any existing customer discounts for a month. From what I've read here, I think that would work?

Don't do it, pretty sure it's gonna transfer your number. And as others said, it will self activate in two weeks. And you want to activate it anyway so you can unlock it in a year. Even if you think you'll have no need to unlock it, you might as well do that, as it increases your options of what you can do with that phone.

Has anyone using GV number able to get a 2nd or 3rd line? Haven't heard anyone in at least 3 days say that it went through so assuming its over for that, anyone have any experiences on that going through?
