Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

No matter how many times I've tried online and called to get the number ported, Textnow is not working at all. I tried 2 different numbers.

They say the number is fine to port when you first put it in but then say you can't when you try to finalize, it happened to me too

2nd attempted trying to port out Tracfone $10 plan (from ST moto stylus 25). After checkout, got the "contact Metro support". My tracfone number got a text saying port out and number disappeared from account.

Also a day before, I transferred the Tracfone esim to one of my ST physical SIM card and was successful and tested simcard on multiple unlock phones. Hopefully its a zombie simcard line.

Google voice is not working anymore, payment fails at last step, also with phone support. What's the next cheapest alternative?

Anyone getting Lyca mobile, be careful if you are ordering new line and it says transaction failed, don't rely on that. wait for some time, you will get order details in the email, instead of retrying and placing another order. Or give them a call to confirm with the failed transaction number to confirm.

How did you transfer the eSIM of the zombie phone to a pSIM? Have you texted BALANCE to 611611 to confirm that the line is now a zombie (i.e. getting a text back from TF saying "looks like your phone is inactive")?

What if I am willing to pay another $55? Is it still possible? Thanks.
Last year, I found for the 2nd attempt it's easier to skip the port and just go for a lower Android that they provide for free and they will give you a number. Not the perfect phone but less error prone if you want to max/milk the account. For example, spend $50 on a A36 and $30 on the second line and skip the port. Moto G 2026 (free) or Edge 2025 for $50 but might need higher $60 plan.

I bought one last week. I want to buy another one or the 16e, but I see the monthly charge changes to $30/month. Will the additional line be treated the same? Meaning, I can just never turn on the AutoPay and never pay the second month and get the phone unlocked in 12 months, the same as the first phone? And how many phones can one buy and do this? Thanks.
Yes, the process works the same, but some phones require the higher plan. How many can you buy...? Big mystery with Metro, in prior years I think there was someone who managed 5 in one (unicorn) account, but for most between 1-4 was max a year ago. Usually 2 limit per phone. These days it seems you're lucky if you get 2 done and maybe an additional watch or tablet is already jackpot.

Yes, but whatever bucket you have still applied, it only removed the expiration date.

Got 3 lyca numbers. Purchase Failed for the 1st number multiple times, however chat rep was able to process the order. But 2nd and 3rd number giving security error and not going through. I called metro support, didnt succeed. Also the tab a9 didnt go through on first line. Any inputs to successfully get through the purchase.

I got 3 lyca numbers too. Purchsed an iPhone 13 on 2/15 and needed to call in to complete the order. After the iPhone 13 arrived and activated, I purchased an iPhone 16e with no issues, not even needed to call. When I tried to purchase another iPhone 16e last Thursday I was stuck at "Your security is important to us" screen. Called in, no luck. Recreated an online order and called in again, no luck. I tried to order again earlier tonight with the same story. The rep told me to go to a store for help. Did anybody have success doing it in a store?

Have you had a zombie line that quit working due to its bucket being empty? I no longer can check the balances of my zombie line, so have no ideas how much is left.
