Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

Since google voice and visible won't work anymore, what's the cheapest way to port in for metro nowadays?

EDIT: after reading the comments on this thread, I see that many people are reporting that a google voice number can be ported over to metro again (like the good old days).

Never said everybody was able to get the deal but I'll grant you I could change my wording from "almost everyone" to "a lot of people" were able to capitalize on the deal. You don't get up to almost +300 on a deal and almost 100 pages in the thread if the deal isn't working for a large number of users. And there's definitely been some change in the system as reports by individuals using GV numbers to port has gone from a large number of folks reporting able to use it to basically no one at all within just the last few days.
If you read through the 100 pages, you will find at least 3 or 4 people on every page who did not get the deal to work for them. In fact, I'm pretty sure that more people coulde not get the deal to work than those that did. Just on page 97 alone, there are 5 people who couldn't get the deal to work.

Calling for the order through even using the same payment info as online that was causing the security issue ? Been getting the same thing with lyca port in for line 2
I used a virtual CC when I tried online. When I called on the phone I used a virtual card but it was a different number.

I did not. I just don't like calling.
Yes, nobody likes calling... but I tried it anyway: Nice CS agent but after half hour.... nothing, error, could not order with suggestion "go to the store".

I've attempted to order a third phone, but all my attempts have failed, even when using different credit cards.
Has anyone tried cancelling the second line then try to order a third device? That way it looks like your are ordering a second line.

If it's an iPhone, you can check its unlock status on www.IMEICheck.com or www.sickw.com (select a free option). Can't do that with an Android phone.
so you never opened the phone for a year? what would happen to the battery? deep discharge?

I never thought of that. ip13 is from 2021, are they still making it?

I don't keep my Metro-locked phones sealed. I don't use iPhones, so I opened/activated the iPhones and sold them as "locked to Metro". With Android phones, I opened/activated them then use some of them (Moto G Stylus, Samsung A54) for media/apps until they're unlocked. The more expensive ones (Moto Razr's, S25FE's) I keep them unused in opened box, charge and update software occasionally, then sell when they're unlocked.
As far as battery in a sealed phone being discharged, the iphone 13 was released in 2021 and Apple probably quit making them by 2023 if not earlier. But those iPhone 13's that Metro shipped in this deal came with battery level around 50% or so, not completely drained.

Yeah your proving my point, towards the end of the thread pretty much nobody is getting through with GV.

"And credit card shows that card has been charged and refunded right away." Yeah, it happened to me too. I don't understand it, is it from CC or Metro's?
This is happening to me as well.

Did you try to call Metro with that # or different ones?
I tried calling and they tried two different cards and got the same thing as I keep getting online. CC sees pending debit and credit of $55. Metro system refuses to complete the transaction.

In my case, my suspicion is the mismatch in zip on metro account and Lyca mobile

I think Metro did some "adjusting/tightening". Early in the deal GV was accepted, and it was common for people to get up to 3 discounted phones (I got a G Stylus 2025 as 1st line, and two i13's as lines 2 & 3). But later on, some had problems porting-in GVs, and few people were able to get more than one discounted phone.

My first order with GV number went through easily without a hitch. Most people are having issues with second and third orders.

I'm in this situation.

Is it a problem with them no longer taking google voice or is it a problem limiting the number of free phones per account?

I placed my first order with a cricket port 1 week ago. Placed 2nd order today using Google voice port. The 2nd order went thru and I got a confirmation number. With that being said hopefully it ships. I am trying to figure out how my the first iphone 13 I ordered already had ios 26 installed. It was sealed and I did not update. Anyone else have that?
