Because they have always been incredibly cheap to produce. They're just slabs of metal with a coating. It's just that sellers are greedy AF and have tricked you into believing they cost more to produce than they actually do. Pretty much like everything else that's overpriced these days.
Also, please post dumbbell deals that will ship to an APO/FPO pretty PLEASE! It's impossible to get weights in pounds overseas in an Asian country that doesn't lift. Or they're $30 for a single 10lb dumbbell lol.

I don't know if temu still does this but when I joined a while back, if you click around you get some offer for like $1000 coupon pack if you spend $20. The coupons are tiered. So like $100 off $400, etc. I did that and got another $100 off a rack.
