At walgreens, clip the $3 off 2 colgate coupon. That makes 2 tubes of maxfresh toothpaste $5. You then receive a $4 off $4 future purchase coupon, courtesy of colgate. That brings it down to $1 spent, plus taxes (for these items... $5 overall). On mine I used $5 walgreens rewards to buy the 2 tubes and then got that $4 coupon back.

I put ymmv in the title, just in case, but usually this seems to me to be a catalina where anyone would receive it. Maybe someone else knows for sure. usually on catalinas, you can keep doing it, so I assume I coudl get 2 more tubes and then be out $4 for the second 2?

I didn't know the best way to put the price on here, since it's after credit. The price before credit will be $5, ie $2.50 per tubs.

It's still $5, the money you spend.

$5 for 2 tubes of toothpaste + $4 off future order.

If it was a $5 any merchandise at wg, + $4 off any future order, it would Almost seem like it was $9 for $5, or 44.4% off, but it isn't that either. You have to buy two tubes of toothpaste for 5 dollars which may not be worth $5, and only $4 is really your choice of any merchandise. Also you have to make two trips.

Store credit is never worth the same as cash, and you never subtract store credit (especially future) from your purchase. total product bought/received and actual cash spent.

It's 5 dollars.

Not sure where the 4 off $4 future purchase coupon, courtesy of colgate is coming from. Didn't see it in my coupons or anywhere.

Just $5 for two toothpaste for me.

You must not be much of a couponer. Yes the toothpaste OOP is $5. A smart shopper can and will use that $4RR making the COST $1 or 50¢ each,
You may never subtract rewards from your purchase price but REAL coupon shoppers do.

RR's (Catalina's) no longer rollover if used to purchase the same item.
You can purchase as many as you want in separate transactions to earn another RR but the coupon is a one time use coupon.

The RR (Catalina) prints after your purchase in store. It does not show in the coupon/savings area of your account.

However you interpret it in YOUR mind, the thread title says "$1 after coupon", which it is not. Downvoted for "Incorrect information."

It's not $1. The toothpaste is $4 each, and you have a coupon for $3 off if you buy two. $8-$3 is $5. On top of that, the original poster claims a Catalina will print out giving you $4 off future purchases, but it is in store and not online as posted and only might happen.

I'll stand by the statement the posters 'bullyhooing' my posts don't know what they are doing, bu are intentionally insulting me for helping.
You will never get your $5 back or $4 back, this isn't cash after rebate. You will have $9 of retail priced merchandise, $5 of which will be overpriced toothpaste at 2.50 each, and will have paid $5 for it.

Where exactly does it say anything about being online?

$9 of merchandise for $5 is $9-$5 =$4. 4/9 is 44.4% discount. sigh.

Since five dollars of that is overpriced 2.50 toothpaste to start with, and you have to be in store for a coupon to print that might not, this isn't really that good a deal since I never pay 2.50 for toothpaste to begin with - it's been free for me for years.

I put AC to mean after credit, not after coupon. This is why i explained it in the first post because I wasn't sure of the best way of wording it.

How exactly did the previous rollover process work?

Also, I can't find any info on it as far as what date it will stop printing them out. A lot of times on some that worked at kroger in the past, i'd find articles or blog posts in a search which told how many you had to buy and how long it was going on.

Probably not a point in me buying more, although even $2 per tubs is still good.

Ads/sales/offers normally run Sunday thru Saturday for Walgreens.
In the past you could use a RR on the next purchase of the same items and still earn a new RR.
There are FB groups for Wags shopping that are pretty helpful. Some people really like WildforWags and IheartWags dot com.
