I use these and they are great. And they look great in the fridge. But I advise hand washing or getting the glass ones if you don't want to do that. That plastic doesn't hold up in the dishwasher over a long time. Starts to get spiderweb cracking.

Rubbermaid will not sell you the lids once they do begin to wear. I have the glass ones and they are my favorite storage containers ever. EXCEPT the lids do eventually crack and then bust entirely. I am going to buy this set because it looks like I can get four of the lids I need for this price. Yes, it is worth it as they really are that great. Sucks Rubbermaid won't just make the lids available.

Sam's Club has a Lock and Lock pack of glass containers. I think it's 24 pieces for $28. Those are really awesome and probably one of the best buys at the joint. I have had a set for years. Just don't microwave with the lids if at all possible. You can offset them and do OK most of the time. But if you leave them sealed or align the seal, you're probably going to end up warping the lid. It's better to just get one of those silicone covers to retain steam.
Ikea has similar pieces you can buy. No need for a whole set if you don't require so many pieces. They're also good, but a higher price per piece.
These Brilliiance pieces are pretty good compared to most plastic options. But they are still plastic and will eventually have problems. The big 10ish cup one has come in clutch many times for me for storing large amounts of leftovers. Most of mine have been tossed over time.

I've moved to glass for my containers but if you specifically need plastic containers, these are among the best I've used. They seal very well/tight

Yup go for glass. There's no such thing as heat-safe plastic.

Nothing a little bloodletting and sunshine won't cure.
