True this is a marketing ploy and its no different but you overestimate how knowledgeable the general population is, especially older parents who are buying for their kids and just too busy to look this stuff up. I mean at least they are blue/black ps5 theme color, are 10ft long, and includes two - so theres a little justification to the ps5 label.

To charge a ps4 controller? I am pretty sure the ps4 controller has a different shaped usb port (?micro-usb?) on the controller. If you are using a ps5 controller on a ps4, unsure if possible or not, but yeah it would work that way.

It will plug into the console but not a Dualshock 4 controller. PS4 controllers use microUSB.
