Please don't get tricked by cheap flight tickets, because the city itself is insanely expensive, yet pretty unassuming.

Arlanda train from airport is $38 one way. Local trains and buses are a bit cheaper, but take much longer, and still expensive.

Alcohol is taxed higher, so getting your typical meatballs and beer for 1 person at any random restaurant will easily cost $50+.

Also, not much to see in Stockholm besides few museums and old city center.

One can always catch a boat to one of many nearby islands though, or even get overnight to Helsinki or Tallin, because Stockholm is not Rome or Paris to have enough entertaining stuff to do for a week.

Still, if the point is to safe money on a destination, just go to Portugal, even if the flight tickets cost twice as much.

IcelandAir planes are the pits. They are super old and uncomfortable. They are really only suitable for short haul flights. Never again.
