was kinda interested but their own description says the lids don't fit when you're using the detachable handles. WTF is the point then??

Dumb design.
You can always just get the original. I have the original design, it's got a notch in the lid but leaves a big gap.. personally I would prefer a lid that seals all the way around to keep heat and steam.
It's really easy to lift the lid with one hand, attach handle with the other the do as usual.
