That's terrible advice. Most players aren't pro but understand the crucial importance of (fully) weighted keys. Any piano teacher will tell you to avoid those cheap semi wighted/ touch sensitive keyboards.

Not seeing that price and your lack of deal details isn't great either.
when I made this comment, the code wasn't in the deal.

Worked for me. Not sure what other details you are looking for. It's a great deal on a keyboard they finally stopped producing last year. It's been in production 10 years now. Had a nice long run. Still very usable, just not a very pretty ui these days. Very flexible programming. Wish Casio put something in its class to replace it.

I'm sure it's a good deal, but isn't it like 12 years old? Are there no newer models that have replaced it?

Interesting. From Google's AI Overview:

While there is no direct, single successor to the Casio Privia Pro PX-5S, the closest, most modern alternatives are the Casio Privia PX-560 for similar synthesis features or the Casio Privia PX-S5000/S6000/S7000 series for updated action and sounds. The PX-560 inherits the Hex Layer technology and 4-zone controller capabilities of the PX-5S.

I have a much older Privia and we love it. Piano teacher highly recommended this brand for the weighted keys and how well it mimics a real piano.

Meh. Unless you're pro, just buy an 88 key semi-weighted keyboard. You can get one for just over $100 on Amazon.
Suggestion for one?

Been thinking of getting a Privia as the action on my Roland FP-E50 leaves a lot to be desired. Tried on in store and it felt pretty good

Here is an example: https://www.amazon.com/Keyboard-W...0G325XBYF/

If you want to pay a little more, you could look at the Donner models. My friend has one and likes it. I bought a new Korg a few years ago and didn't use it much. When I finally got around to wanting to play it, it no longer worked. Decided at that point not to spend much on these.
