I'm taking 100mg of Magnesium Glycinate, definitely helps with sore muscles. The recommended daily intake is about 400mg total, so if you're already getting 300mg with food then an extra 400mg may be overkill. Other poorly absorbed forms of magnesium are ok to take in higher doses because you're only getting like 1/4 of it.

It's only 60mg elemental magnesium >15% of RDA per capsule.

That's confusing advertising, thanks for letting me know. I went back and checked and the ones I've taken in the past, both advertise elemental magnesium on the front.

Which ones have you taken?

In addition to 105mg Magnesium Glycinate LysinateI for muscles I currently also take 144mg Magnesium L Threonate to help with migraine prevention (unknown preventative effect, but it definitely helps with sleep). I sleep better with 1 pill of either type, even better with 2, and no better with 3, so I stayed on 2.
In the past I took 500mg Magnesium Oxide. I think the only thing it did was give me the runs.
