I got this as my first weight vest and quickly abandoned it . There Velcro all over so it shreds your clothes . I had to cut up old socks to cover the Velcro. It's bulky and made of cheap material. The sandbags are cheap and leak. This should be your last option

I have one of these that I store snacks in. It gets lighter throughout the day, so I can tell I'm getting stronger.

This might get too light real quick. I have a 40 lbs one but only use 24 lbs and definitely wears on your shoulders and neck.

Good to know, any recommendations for a good weighted vest?

The -C version ("-Comfort") is approximately the same price: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01464GUOU.

Thank you for the insight, I'll avoid this one. Any recommendations then for which ones to get?

I use it for walks all the time and it works fine. Never had a problem with velcro. It does wear on ur shoulders but suck it up

Have had one for a couple years and wear it on walks. No issues with the Velcro at all like the other poster. Haven't had any issues with the sandbags leaking either. The shoulders aren't well padded like another poster said, but I've never noticed it being uncomfortable, other than feeling like I've gained an extra 20 pounds.

Are the better options? Of course. But for low impact use like for walking, it's not a bad option for the price.

We just started using this. We will be weary of the velcro cutting things up thing.
Last time I saw this people kept taking about it wrecking your joints which isn't true. You just need to be gradual with the weights or intensity.

At this price point I would fill sandbags to the desired weight and use an existing framed backpack with hip support. I went with a plate carrier which is more expensive, but better form and utility. None of the Amazon weight vests under $40 are worth buying because they are cheaply made
