How does it work? I drop plates in the pouch and velcro it up? Sorry. I'm curious, as an almost in shape 51 year old.

Basically. The weights can stay in unless you want it lighter.

I've been looking to get one of these but the plate versions seem more comfortable but way more expensive. Reviews on this seem good to terrible and there's a good number of both

I just grabbed this exact deal three weeks ago for a few bucks more. I use it for walking on a treadmill and for push ups. Does the job for what I need it to. I added all the individual sandbags and will probably keep the weight at 20 permanently

Kinda like a Ruck Sack but far less $ and I presume not as good. I'll probably grab one of these. I want a Ruck but anything I'm interested in on GoRuck .com is sold out.

As I understand it, running w/ extra weight it bad for the knees. Walking / hiking? Different story.
