I used an e-gift card i bought from Target to renew mine. You have to go your account and, "redeem code" BEFORE you start shopping, then when you get to checkout it'll show up on the checkout page (you can't add it at checkout).

Playstation plus is way too expensive now. Even the base tier. After the beginning of Playstation plus came out, I finally let mine lapse on Jan 16th. This was after being LOADED with offers the prior years for like 19.99, then 29 bucks for a few more years. Those are long gone. I wish they would have a tier to keep all their free games and let me just play online for free on the games I own without needing plus.

Take the eneba deal it was $100 psn credit for $85 as of Saturday or but i think it went up to $87 Sunday. Then use the $100 GC towards the ps+ premium. Saving yourself a couple bucks now your good for 2026

This also saves you from having to enter your credit card on psn because part of the terms of this promotion is they will auto charge your card next year to renew the ps+ which could be $150 or more if sony keeps bumping the price of psn

Yes, but really it's not worth it over select if you don't care about classics and streaming. it's also funny that 2 hour game trials are locked to this highest level, that should be open to all to sell more games to everyone. I bought a couple games just like that because i wanted to play more than the 2 hours I had played.

Once the base subscription went past 30-40/yr I pretty much gave up on subscription and PlayStation in general and just went back to much more affordable and comfortable pc gaming on one of my 3 pc gaming rigs. It's amazing how unusable the console is now without it. Never liked the 5's controller anyway.
