I used an e-gift card i bought from Target to renew mine. You have to go your account and, "redeem code" BEFORE you start shopping, then when you get to checkout it'll show up on the checkout page (you can't add it at checkout).

I think it's more that they play PlayStation and not Xbox. You get a lot more with Game Pass, but you'd have to be an Xbox owner and it's also $360/year for Ultimate.

I was only able to use the 35% discount towards my pro-rated upgrade to Premium from Essential. My subscription ends 3/29. If I wanted to do another 12 months, it shows up at $159. But I went to "Cancel Subscription" and then they offered me a 25 % discount at $119.99. So I'm doing the Costco Gift Card thing so not too bad. Try Cancelling your Subscription and see if they also offer the 25% off.

Just a data point... my sub renewed 2 days ago at $160. When I saw this and logged in, it showed my option as "buy another year at $159.99". I chatted with them and canceled the current sub and received the $159.99+tax back. About 15 minutes later, I checked and it showed the $99 price. Bought $100 PS GC from Costco for $89 and paid with that to save a few more dollars.
Hoping for as similar deal next year this time Smilie

You can easily get GPU for much less online with a simple search. I'm still getting GPU for about $14 on ebay every month.

Not something that most people, especially those who don't have Xbox, are going to find. What may seem easy to you and me isn't something most others are even going to think of or know about. Hell, I've never seen a way to get it for $14/month that didn't involve dodgy key sellers and even then, ehh. I dunno.
