You'd be surprised. Cloth, thin metal, thin wood, plastic packaging, hard plastics, thin wires... These have come in extremely handy around the garage. Enough so that I'm considering a second pair. Paid $10, not.sure for $15

I have the heavy duty Quinn 11" shear. Probably the last shear you will buy (lifetime warranty with 99% recommendation). Super easy replacement if needed. $10.20 this week after coupon.

I didn't care much for these. Can be a pain to lock and unlock them and they went dull on a few weeks with moderate use. I have the similar one from Crescent now and they are better.

yeah, the problem with these is if you have large hands. I'm over 6 feet tall and my hands even in disposable gloves require an XL, these small openings in these mean I end up wrapping my hands around the outside of them to attempt to use them. Not claiming they won't cut just saying the Kein shears have a better handle for my hands

I have two pairs of shears similar to both the Klein and HF tools and have used them perhaps once in the last 10 years. This is a product looking for a decent application - and that application is probably not in your garage.

Great for removing stuffs that are encased in thick plastic. 2nd most useful tool in the kitchen, behind a knife.

The OpenIt is BY FAR the best tool for plastic clamshell packaging, but understand people do try to open them with shears or a utility knife

I got a few Fiskar PowerArc shears, and plastic clamshell packaging doesn't stand a chance. Not sure about these, but the Fiskars can be had for about the same price, and are awesome

i have fiskar too, we used it to cut soft bones, cardboards, thick plastic wrapper, battery packaging, fiber, and still held up so well!

Man, got me excited! Thought it was a compact version of the high leverage shears I got. Want a compact sized shear for EDC.
