Don't be coy. I hate sunlight leaking into my sunglasses on the sides. This might seem goofy to you, but if cheap ski goggles are 10x better than midrange sunglasses I'm all in.

They make sunglasses with yellow (or other light colors) with sidelights or blacked out side shields (or you can buy side shields separately and slip them on). If you wear prescription eyewear they make some that fit over your regular glasses. I would go this route before goggles as they would be a lot more comfortable over a long period of time.
